About The Event
Our morning will include adaptogenic hot drinks to fuel your practice and day; an intentionally designed yoga sequence to invigorate, rejuvenate, and energize; and community connection.Â
Incorporating breath work, essential oils, intention setting, and based in the Hatha-tradition, the physical practice will be accessible to all experience levels. Our yoga sequence will lead us to a generous savasana, allowing time for reflection and journaling. We'll follow this with an informative, hands-on workshop about superfoods and adaptogens, and their beneficial uses in replacing caffeine. Together we'll prepare a 'ready-to-drink' mix you'll take home to enjoy later.Â
You will:
- Explore physical yoga postures and breath control techniques intended to energize the body and mind, clear brain fog and drowsiness, and improve focus.
- Learn about using adaptogens and superfoods as alternatives to caffeine through a short information session.
- Prepare delicious, cosy (dairy- and caffeine-free) lattes in an interactive workshop.
- Receive recipes for making nutritious adaptogenic lattes at home, and a 'ready-to-drink' mix to enjoy later
$25 inc. tax
All welcome. Very limited space, so please register soon.
NOTE: At times during the yoga practice, there may be the opportunity for gentle, hands-on adjustments. These are always optional.
FAQs
1. Do I need yoga experience?Â
Nope, none! Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned yogi, this class is for you.Â
2. What do I need to bring?Â
We'll provide everything you need for your yoga practice, however, you're welcome to bring your own mat and any extras you like to have (e.g. water bottle, fluffy socks/slippers, cosy sweater or scarf, your journal).
3. What can I expect?Â
Accessible to all experience levels, this class takes a holistic approach to your yoga practice - incorporating breath control, postures, and mindfulness. The first part of our class will blend challenge and peace: starting with a short grounding practice before moving on to postures that gently build heat, cultivating strength and intentional malleability. You’ll learn breath and alignment foundations, and the essential tools for a practice that meets your needs in a way that is both healing and nourishing. Building on this, we’ll explore dynamic movement in a flow style - using the breath to drive the body and focus the mind through a series of postures. We’ll slow down the last part of the class with gentle stretching, allowing you time to integrate your efforts and experience on the mat. The intention of this class is to support and meet you wherever, however you are. Â
We'll be a small group of no more than 10; practicing in the bright, welcoming and cosy studio at SpringHill Yoga in Baden, ON (15 minutes west of Kitchener-Waterloo).
4. What should I wear?Â
Anything that makes you feel comfortable and cosy, and that you can easily move in. Layers are ideal.
5. What is the investment?Â
The cost for the two-hour session is $25. Payment is required upon registration; full refunds are available up to 48 hours before the event.Â
6. Is there parking?Â
Free street parking is available along Louisa Street
